Environmental Site Investigation StaffSeptember 18, 2015
This is a terrific opportunity to enjoy the responsibility and independence lacking in many firms. You will receive excellent on-the-job training and immediately become an important team member. Don’t worry about working alone, because as part of our team you’ll get plenty of help from Approved Professionals and a team which has extensive experience in doing what you’ll be doing – Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations, Tank Pulls, and working on remediation of a variety of contaminants. You will be conducting field work, learning the regulations, writing reports, and assisting your team and senior staff in obtaining a variety of Ministry Instruments such as Certificates of Compliance, Determinations, and so on.
You will be relied on to improve your understanding of the technical and regulatory facets of your chosen career, and to advance quickly. You will not be pigeon-holed or held back and prevented from reaching for the top. In turn, like your new team-mates, you will enjoy the satisfaction and appreciation of solving our client’s business problems in a creative and efficient manner.
In this role, you will be representing NEXT’s standard of excellence while working in a modern, progressive and fast-paced environment. You’ll find the work challenging, but fun and interesting.
What You Get
Our philosophy is to treat everyone fairly, including you. Your salary and benefits depend on experience and what you’re currently getting. A variety of items in your remuneration package are negotiable to ensure you are fairly treated and do not have to give up something substantial to work with us. We’re expecting to fill this position with a new team member who would probably be in the salary range of $40,000 to $60,000 plus full medical/dental benefits, 3 weeks paid vacation, banked time/overtime based on company policy, Group RRSP contributions, eligibility for profit sharing, and other nice benefits like extra days off at Christmas/New Years with years worked.
Who You Are
This is a junior to intermediate position. You are someone who wants or needs a change from a standard work environment to a dynamic setting, where what you say counts and what you do matters. You will need suitable educational qualifications such as an undergraduate degree in an appropriate field or an environmental technician’s diploma, preferably leading to a professional designation, such as P.Eng. or P.Geo. (or alternate). You are looking for opportunity to get ahead.
